The conferences organized by AYSAD as a part of Lift 2011 were attended as speakers by chairmen and members of lift technical committees of CEN, ISO and ELA.
Included among the speakers were Michel Chartron, ELA President; Paolo Tattoli, CEN TC 10 WG1 WT5 Chairman; Wolfgang Adldinger, ELA Component Committee Chairman; Ian Jones, CEN TC10 WG1 Chairman; Esfandiar Gharibaan, CEN TC10 Chairman; and Christian de Mas Latrie, ISO TC 178 Chairman.
During the sessions, speeches are held on lifts in earthquake zones, A3 corrections to EN81 standards, initiatives for renewal of EN81 group standards, and draft texts.
Fabio Liberali, Journalist from Elevatori / Italy Magazine, gave information about the Italian Lift Market, while Undine Stricker-Berghoff, VFA General Manager, gave information about the German Lift Market.
The Turkish session held on Saturday, 16 April, was attended also by our General Manager Sefa Targıt as a speaker in the capacity of the Republic of Turkey, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Lift Technical Committee member, and gave information about modernization of existing lifts.
In the session chaired by Mr. Tunç Timurkan, AYSAD President, Mr. Zühtü Bakır, Deputy General Director of Industry, Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Turkey, and Ercüment Hızal and Selçuk Dikmen, both former Presidents of AYSAD, gave presentations respectively on “Initiatives for Regulation on Modernization Works”, “New Lifts For Existing Buildings” and “Access for Everyone”.
